We are so proud of our president, Marion Witz, as she has just been honoured with a major award from the Women's Executive Network- she is one of Canada's Most Powerful Women, recognized in the Entrepreneur category. Read on below for more on Marion's win.
“It is an incredible honour to be recognized by the Women’s Executive Network as a top entrepreneur,” says Marion. “Elizabeth Grant International has shown tremendous growth and we look forward to continued expansion. This is a special recognition for both myself and the team at Elizabeth Grant International.”
The Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards is Canada’s most recognizable award for the country's highest achieving female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Marion Witz joins a community of 522 women across Canada who have received this recognition. The complete list of 2010 winners can be found at www.top100women.ca
“Marion takes entrepreneurship to the next level with her devotion to her company, employees, community and with her drive to deliver the best product possible,” says Margot Grant Witz, Public Relations and Marketing Manager at Elizabeth Grant International. “It is no surprise to us at Elizabeth Grant Skin Care that she is being recognized as one of the most powerful women in Canada. We are thrilled for her achievements.”
Marion Witz is based out of Toronto, Canada. She has authored two published books- Elizabeth Grant: My Life- My Story and Stand Up and Talk to 1000 People (And Enjoy It!), helping readers empower their voice and strengthen their expression. In the early 90’s, Marion worked as a voice specialist and was considered one of the country’s leading experts. Then, in 1997, she changed her career path and started Elizabeth Grant International in her North Toronto home, a company that now sells its luxury skin care products on shopping channels around the world. The business has experienced steady growth since its inception and has grown to a corporation that now employs over 100 employees in a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility.
Marion is a role model business woman and is quick to attribute much of Elizabeth Grant Skin Care’s incredible successes to her team. It takes a great leader to grow a business starting from an office in her garage to the successful skin care company Elizabeth Grant International is today. The company has expanded to the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, and Asia. Marion’s vision for the future involves seeing the skin care products becoming a household name brand that will be widely available through traditional retail outlets around the world.
She has received great recognition for her strong and successful entrepreneurial abilities. In May 2006, Marion was selected by the City of Toronto to be a part of the city wide poster campaign, We Build This City, which recognized the experiences of Toronto's most talented and skilled business leaders. She is considered one of Canada’s top women entrepreneurs, having been recognized on the Profit W100’s ranking for last five consecutive years. This year, Marion is honoured to receive a WXN Top 100 award.
Marion Witz has led Elizabeth Grant International to experience tremendous growth, rapidly expanding and delivering its world class products into foreign markets and becoming a multi-million-dollar enterprise. At the same time, Marion dedicates a great deal of effort and resources to charitable organizations, specifically cancer related fundraising and associated programs. Marion is the best example of how passion, dedication, and generosity and are a powerful formula for success.
“Every year, we honour the exceptional female leaders of Canada,” said Pamela Jeffery, Founder, Women’s Executive Network. “They each have remarkable achievements and Top 100 is a mark of their success and how they have supported their communities, companies, and organizations. Our Top 100 community is a powerful group of women who are at the top of their game, exemplify success and empower the next generation of women to take their careers to the next level.”
