In Touch

At the airport a couple of days ago, I spotted a copy of my favourite celebrity weekly- In Touch. I was ever so pleased when I found out that Madison and Mulhollond (celeb swag bag organizers extraordinarie) included Elizabeth Grant's Biocollasis in their gift ideas! Many thanks to Jane at Madison and Mulholland for doing such a great gift guide. If you pick-up a copy- you will also see that Elizabeth Grant's Biocollasis is now also available at Celebrity Goodies . Celebrity Goodies is a very cool site that shows all the hard to find swag that celebrities are scoring at A-list events and awards shows.

Airplane Approved Beauty for the Holidays

With all the recent changes to airport security over the last few months, it can certainly leave the beauty obsessed a little confused. The rules were ever changing up until a few months ago, but it seems the TSA has now settled on what exactly is allowed in your carry on. Click here to read the rules and regs for your most prized beauty products.
The basics? You can bring on liquids and gels in containers under 3 ounces as long as they all fit in a 7.5 x 8 Ziploc. A few weeks ago at Pearson they were still handing out the Ziplocs for passengers, but now with the holiday season upon us- don't count on it. Instead- make things easier at security with this clear Chanel bag. As was so brilliantly pointed out in Vogue last month, it's perfect for all your carry on products.

By the way, there ARE some Elizabeth Grant products that fit the bill if you can't leave home without your Torricelumn. Try the EG travel sizes or the Rejuvenating Serums.

This weekend Elizabeth Grant is on TSC. She is offering a brand new product (actaully it's a sneak peak pre-launch) called the 'Caviar Rejevenating Ampoules'. This product is amazing and you can read about it here.

Hint: You might want to stock up on the Ampoules now because they won't be 'offically' launching until the new year.

Get Glowing

November is here and the weather has been less than tolerable lately. The summer tan has faded, now a distant memory. Canadians long for that glow again, not to be found until the next holiday trip to St Barths or shhh- whisper it- NEXT summer.

Please try to resist the urge to visit a tanning salon in attempt to get back that healthy glow. If you are EVEN considering such an assault on your skin, read this. One of my favourite beauty bloggers originally posted a press release from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) with some shocking statistics on tanning beds and sun tanning. For example, it is estimated that there will be over 111, 9000 new cases of melanoma in the US this year. For those of you not in know, melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer.

Want an alternative? My favourite beauty trick when November weather gets me down is to add a little self tanner to my daily body lotion. Within hours, you can get a hint of that gorgeous summer glow- safely. My favourite self tanning product is definitely Alluring Bronze by Elizabeth Grant. Make sure to use a little bronzer on your face (Guerlain makes an incredible one) and you are good to go like Alessandra Ambrosio.

The other alternative? Embrace your fair skin. Need some inspiration? Marcia Cross, who we met in August, is the perfect example of fair skinned beauty. She works hard to avoid the sun- rarely stepping out without a hat. When we met with her, she literally jumped from one sun umbrella to the next. Now that is dedication to sun safety.

Elizabeth Grant wins at FASHION'S Reader's Choice Beauty Awards

Congratulations to Elizabeth Grant Skincare for winning the FASHION'S Reader's Choice Beauty Awards 'Serum over $40' category. Elizabeth Grant's Rejuvenating Serums AM and PM, two of the company's original products, have been chosen as winners by an esteemed panel of judges- FASHION Magazine readers! The announcement was revealed live today on CityLine by FASHION beauty editor Laura Keogh.

Elizabeth Grant's Rejuvenating Serums are a must-have in any gal's winter beauty regime- these serums hydrate the skin and make it smoother, toned and more supple. Torricelumn is also a key ingredient- which reduces the appearance of fine, dry lines.

A quick beauty tip: Men LOVE these serums too. Have the guy in your life give the AM serum a quick try in the morning in place of an aftershave. I promise he will become a EG devotee. Keep a close eye on your serum levels!

Hollywood and LA are always bustling with celebrities and the just plain utterly fabulous. This past week was certainly no exception with the well-heeled from around the world flocking to LA for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Elizabeth Grant Skincare was asked to be a part of the Who's Next What's Next Fashion Show benefiting Project C.U.R.E.
The event was a huge sucess, and even launched a new magazine under the same name ('WNWN'). If you are in the LA area and able to pick up a copy- you will see one of Elizabeth Grant's slickest ads to date for Biocollasis inside.

Uber-Stylist to the Stars- George Blodwell

Late yesterday afternoon, George Blodwell rang us to say hello and thank us for the latest Elizabeth Grant Skincare products. He was so kind and had this to say about Elizabeth:

"I really trust her. Elizabeth Grant is serious about skincare and she really knows her stuff. I am proud to present Elizabeth Grant products to my celebrity clients."

This is quite the compliment coming from a famous stylist who has worked with the likes of Sharon Stone, Drew Barrymore, Tyra Banks, Celine Dion, Nicolas Cage, Halle Berry, Carmen Elektra, Pierce Brosnan, Annie Lennox, Elton John, and Catherine Zeta Jones.

George is an extremely talented stylist who got his start in London, England dressing George Harrison and Bob Dylan. He also was Editor at Large for the Italian Harper's Bazaar for several years. He now resides in LA and continues to dress some of the most beautiful women in the world.

Vanity Fanfair

Celebrated and sometimes controversial Vanity Fair columinist, Dominick Dunne, became an Elizabeth Grant Skincare fan (and pen pal of the the main Torricelumn gal herself) sometime early this year. Elizabeth, knowing that men tend to love her serums, got him hooked on both the AM and PM Renewal Serums. And what an EG fan he did become, writing this about the products after a recent trip:

“I took the AM and PM bottles (with me to both cities) and I think the results are wonderful."

It sounds like Mr. Dunne will be ordering some more EG in the near future...

Duff Family Favourite

Continuing on with the celebrity favourites... on several occassions we have met Haylie Duff, older sister of singer/ songwriter/ actress Hilary Duff. Haylie, an actress herself also, told me that the first time she picked up Elizabeth Grant, she got home and her mother snagged all the products from her. Haylie did manage to try a few items before her mother ran off with them and she fell in love with the Line Treatment for Lips. The next time I met Haylie- the smart girl that she is- she stocked up on enough products for her mother and for herself! She also gave me the sweetest letter to pass on to Elizabeth.

Definitely not a 'Mean Girl'!

Over the last week or so, e-mails from celebrities have been flooding my inbox gushing with compliments on Elizabeth Grant products. These celebrities mostly picked up Elizabeth Grant Skincare in LA at the Showtime Emmy Suite and some at the Cannes Film Festival. It's been a few weeks now since the Emmy's- so I guess it's been long enough for everyone to see the amazing results you can get from using Torricelumn.
Some people might not want to name names- but I am not one of them! Over the next couple of posts I will fill you in on what the celebrities have been telling me about Elizabeth Grant.

First- Lacey Chabert a la 'Mean Girls' fame and 'Party of Five'. We met her at the Emmy suite and she was incredibly kind and beautiful. She has since contacted me and said,

"I have seen more results in the three weeks I've been using your products than I have with months of using others. I'm really impressed! My skin is more radiant, supple, and moisturized than it's ever been! I feel like I have baby skin!"

Lacey- we always thought that you had gorgeous skin anyway :) but now you are a true Torricelumn Girl!

The Emmy Suite

The pictures have taken a lot longer to arrive then was expected. But I guess good things come to those who wait. That said- we are STILL waiting for another bunch to come through so check back soon as more will be posted in the coming days.

Our fave housewife- Marcia Cross. Marcia was great to meet and ever so gracious. A true 'Torricelumn Girl' is always protecting her face from the sun and Marcia did just that- as she toured around the Cooley Estate she jumped from the shade of one umbrella to the next, always keeping her face out of the sun.

Sophia Bush- The One Tree Hill Star stopped by and picked up a few Biocollasis products.

Blythe Danner (Gwennie's mom!) made a rare appearance on the Saturday picking up a sample of the Biocollasis Advanced Cellular Night Regeneration.

The youngest 'Torricelumn Boy' to date?!
Trevor Gagnon hanging out at the EG table. Trevor plays Julia Loius-Dreyfus's super cute son on "The New Adventure's of Old Christine".

Showtime Pre-Emmy Gift Suite

Emmy week in LA was certainly busy and the Showtime Emmy Suite was a huge success. I am still waiting to get back the pictures from the 2 day event held at Cooley Estate in the Hancock Park area of LA. There are going to be some great shots to post due to the sheer star power that showed up to sample Elizabeth Grant and some other fabulous products, clothing, and accessories.
The Showtime event was definitely one of the best events that Elizabeth Grant has particpated in- best described as a garden party- but with a pool, mojitos galore, models, spa treatments, and even a hair salon on-site. Not to mention all the famous celebrities walking around and mingling! Elizabeth Grant also got some great coverage in the news- we were featured on CNBC!
Lacey Charbert, Marcia Cross, Sophia Bush, Blythe Danner- just to name a few- came by and picked up Elizabeth Grant prodcuts. Specifically, for those who like to know what the celebrities are using- they picked up products from the Elizabeth Grant Biocollasis line (the night cream and the brand new day and eye creams). As usual, everyone was remarking how fabulous the packaging is!
Our friend George Blodwell also stopped by- whom we haven't seen since the Cannes Film Festival in May! The Elizabeth Grant stock was completely depleted by the time we saw him unfortunately- so on his request we are sending those serums which he and his good friend (and client) Faye Dunaway love so much.
I found one picture from Getty images to leave you with for the time being until we get the rest of the pictures from Showtime.

Lisa Edelstein- from the nominated show House- also snagged Elizabeth Grant Skincare.

Celebrity Poker Tournment in the Hills

On Thursday evening, Elizabeth Grant Skincare was involved in one of the hottest parties during Emmy week- The Style Lounge Celebrity Poker Tournament Benefiting the Creative Coalition. Kari Feinstein PR produced the event and asked Elizabeth Grant to be a part of the exclusive gift bags being given out to celebrities attending/ supporting the event.
I arrived at the event around 9pm- and it was already in full swing. The actual tournment was underway by 10 pm with many of the usual suspects (Jack Osbourne, Danny Masterson) buying in- all for a good cause. The house was amazing but so far up in the hills that all party guests had to be chauffered up to the main site. Here are a couple of pictures- but I really don't think these do justice to the size of the home or the amazing views it has of LA!

Other celebrities sighted (that also picked up EG) include Jennifer Tilly, Fran Dresher, and Michael Varten. Click here to view pictures from the event on Wireimage.

The Emmy Suite

One of the biggest and best awards shows of the year is just around the corner- and we're really starting gear up for it at Elizabeth Grant! There is even a new product in the works- but right now it's a race against time to get it produced in time to launch for the Emmy's. I can't tell you what it is- but I will give you a hint for now. There is a lot of leading ladies in Hollywood right now who will appreciate this product's benefits at this special time in their lives.

Elizabeth Grant has been asked to be part of the Showtime Emmy Suite!
Here are a couple of pictures of the estate where the suite will be held- it's in the Hancock Park area of LA.

New Products!

I have 2 very new and very exciting products to tell you about! Elizabeth Grant has just launched 2 new products for the Biocollasis line- an eye cream and a day cream. Both products really get that skin glowing and rejuvenated just like the original Biocollasis Night Cream (which launched in January and sold out for weeks immediately after!).

The eye cream is absolutely amazing. I always think that if there is one product you should be completely loyal to- and use every day- it's a good eye cream. The Biocollasis eye cream is super hydrating and works on the cellular level- so you know the nourishment is getting deep down into those fine lines around the eye area and plumping them up.

As for the day cream- it's a skin saviour - improves both fine lines and deep lines and increases hydration by 100%. This day cream is a little different than most high end anti-aging creams out there- it's a super light weight consistancy. But don't let that fool you beacuse it's a very potent cocktail of age fighting nutrients- just that it doesn't sit on top of the skin and clog pores like a lot of the heavier anti-aging creams out there do.

If you want to read more about the science behind it and what Biocollasis does, you can check out my press release here.

What a Reaction!

These 2 pictures were just sent to me by the producer of the talent lounge at Nikki Beach for the Cannes Film Festival. What do you think Depardieu is reacting to?! I think he has just been told what Torricelumn will do for his skin!

Here he is holding the Elizabeth Grant Cannes Beach Bag and listening intently while being told about all the skincare goodies inside.

Here- reacting to the fact that his skin will soon be glowing and will look 10 years younger thanks to Elizabeth Grant!

Bullrun 2006- Final Party LA

Late Friday afternoon, the Bullrunners all made it safely to their final checkpoint in LA- the Beverly Hilton. In their honor, Bullrun organizers put together a huge party at new Hollywood 'it' spot The Social. Although the Bullrunners should have been exhausted after 8000 miles and many many tickets, they were still up for a big night. Awards were handed out, The Cuban Bros danced, and even a few more celebrities showed up- including one of our favourites- Shaun Toub (who also happens to be a big fan of Elizabeth Grant Skincare!). Peter Witz was also on hand to do more massage for tired drivers. He was such a hit in Toronto, they decided to set him up to do his thing at the checkpoints in San Diego and LA. Of course, the Elizabeth Grant Bullrun Backrub was also on hand and given out to party guests.
I didn't have a camera at The Social, but Jalopnik Editor Davey Johnson was super kind and sent me a couple of pictures from the after party in Carl Lewis's room at the Beverly Hilton.

Bullrun Red Carpet in Toronto!

Bullrun drivers and celebrities barelled into Toronto late Saturday evening for a huge red carpet event hosted by Elizabeth Grant Skincare at Century Room on trendy King St West. The Bullrun is a glamourous and high profile car rally that goes from New York to LA over the course of a week. The rally stops in different cities each night to party the night away.
The Bullrun Red Carpet event presented by Eizabeth Grant Skincare started around 9 pm with local Toronto VIP's arriving first to enjoy food, champagne, and dancing. Also on-site, a masseuse, a graffiti artisit, drummers, and waitresses dressed in mechanic coveralls (obviously with a few alterations!). The massuese on site, Peter Witz- owner of the Chinese Therapeutic Healing Center, gave the drivers shoulder massages with the Elizabeth Grant Bullrun Backrub to help heal and soothe their tired backs after a long day driving in from NYC.
Bullrunners started to show up to walk the red carpet around 11 pm. eTalk daily was on hand to do interviews as the drivers came into the club. Tons of photographers also set up along the red carpet to get pictures of the drivers and celebrities such as Carl Lewis, Corey Haim, and Cory Feldman.
The party had great energy thanks to the Bullrunners! From what I have heard, Toronto is already hoping that the Bullrun will make a stop north of the border again next year- Bullrunners definitely left a few admiring fans in their dust!

All Star Night at the Playboy Mansion

Last week the EG girls headed westward for a VERY quick trip to LA. The destination? The Playboy Mansion! On July 11th, the Playboy Mansion hosted a charity event for Celebrity Locker Room and the Hollyrod Foundation. And guess who was asked to be a part of the very exclusive gift bags? Elizabeth Grant Skincare of course!
Celebrity Locker Room is a brand new charity- it's basically an online auction for previously owned items of athletes and celebrites. A portion of every sale has preoceeds going to charities endorsed by those athletes and celebrities. The Hollyrod Foundation is a great charity started by Rodney and Holly Peete to benefit Parkinson's Disease.
The night was star studded and fabulous- and all in the name of a few good causes. Three 6 Mafia, Aaron and Nick Carter, Nick Zano, Dan Cortese, and a huge slew of athletes were among the celebrities spotted.
Elizabeth Grant gifted the celebrities with several Torricelumn products. Each gift bag contained samples of Biocollasis Night Treatment, AM and PM Skin Renewal Serum, and an Essence of Torricelumn vial.
Check back soon becuase the Torricelumn Girl Blog will be more regulary updated again. Elizabeth Grant is sponsoring a huge event in Toronto this weekend that you are definitely going to want to hear about. Celebrities WILL be hitting the red carpet!
